Michelle Obama Slams Country Music, Says It’s ‘Music for Morons’

By Usa news - May 03, 2020

Music fans include Michelle Obama and her husband Barack. They just love it. Apparently pushes them around the corner, except for the country songs. They were interviewed recently and asked what concerts they would see after the crisis had ended. They have said the obvious. Jay-Z. Yes. Beyoncé, for example. Perhaps one of 427 farewell tours with The Who. When the interviewer asked Joe Barron if they should take in a few country concerts, seeing as Mr. Barron is a big fan of country music, Barack Obama replied: "not really a fan." Michelle Obama snorted and added, "not over my dead body."

As the surprised interviewer asked why she went into a long diatribe about how much she hated the true American music style, much of it covered up with patriotic themes and American. She said, "There has never been such an intellectually devoid art form, ever." I mean, who does not like country music? She went on to say that maybe if, when dating her daddy's uncle, she grew up in a trailer and was a lady trucker, she would then stomach such untalented trash. Yet as she wasn't smoking tobacco chewing and raising a rebel flag on her raised pick-up, there's no way she'd ever be a fan of such garbage.

Yeah, yeah, just cool. Country music is an important part of American society. The straightforward rhythm and twangy voices that are like nails on a chalkboard to get even the most unrefined people to tap their toes in their torn socks and dirty denim jeans, the kind of music to which you can relate to your siblings. How can Michelle Obama denigrate music to morons, or anyone else? And denigrate, for you country fans, means to make fun of. When asked about the musical preferences of Barack, he replied by saying "I love R&B, Motown, classic rock like Rush, and hip hop." He didn't hold the country music vitriol that Michelle did, but he definitely doesn't understand the appeal of such American hero songs.
After all, he did say he liked Rush, who is Canadian and not even American.
